Ingredients and Way of Preparing Balaleet

Ingredients of Balaleet:
1 packet vermicelli pasta
3/4 cup white sugar
4 cardamom pods
1/2 tsp cardamom powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
1/4 cup rose water and saffron mixture
Extra saffron threads
2 tbsp butter/ghee
Eggs as desired
Cardamom powder
Salt

Method of Preparing Balaleet:
1- In boiling water, boil pasta with cardamom pods for 3 minutes only, then strain well.
2- Mix the sugar with the cardamom and cinnamon powder well
3- Add the sugar mixture, rose water saffron mixture and butter to the pasta
4- Stir the ingredients well, then leave on low heat for 20 minutes
5- Beat the eggs well until they turn yellow, add salt and cardamom powder to taste
6- Fry the eggs as desired, then serve with balaleet

*Note: Nuts can be added to the balaleet dish as desired
