How to prepare Rice with fava beans Vegetarian Dish

Rice with fava beans Ingredients:

- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 large or 3 onions finely chopped
- 2 cups of fava beans (frozen or fresh)
- 2 cups soaked & drained basmati rice
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon powder
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- salt to taste
- water to cover & cook the rice

▪️ In a pot, heat the oils & cook the onions until golden brown
▪️ Add the fava beans & stir in for 1 minute, then add the rice & spices
▪️ Stir the ingredients for 1 to 2 minutes until all combined & add the water to cover
▪️ Bring it to boil then cover & let simmer on low heat until the rice is cooked (around 15 to 20 minutes)
▪️ Serve it with yogurt cucumber salad & enjoy

You can also cook it with meat , I like to use small fillet cut I add them just after sautéing the onions, cook it well with the spices then add the rice
Note: if you're adding meat ,there's no need to cook the onions until brown! (only until translucent)
