The Search for Burgan’s Kanz Culminates with the Crowning of a Millionaire

An Epic Journey at Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Center

In a first for the Banking industry in Kuwait and in a unique artistic endeavor, Burgan Bank is preparing to unveil a grand theatrical production, entitled "A fantasy journey and a legendary treasure hunt with Burgan’s Kanz". The show is set for its premiere and one-night exclusive performance on January 12th, on the stage of the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Center.

The play tells a story inspired by the history and heritage of Kuwait, in a special production by Burgan Bank in collaboration with Partners, featuring a company of talented young Kuwaiti artists. In the closing act of the play, the Bank is set to crown its first millionaire in the inaugural Kanz Draw account, who will walk away with the grand prize of KD 1,500,000.

The show takes viewers through a journey in the search of the legendary treasure hidden in the dunes of Burgan. At the center of the treasure-hunting tale is our young protagonist, Najm, who heads out in search of fortune and glory. This first of its kind initiative for Burgan Bank seeks to deliver an inspiring message through theatre and music: believe in your dreams and work towards them, because nothing is impossible. Much like the dream of becoming a millionaire that is possible with Kanz.

The original-scripted play was written and directed by Ahmed Mohamed Al-Awadhi, stars Yaqoub Abdullah, Ghouroor Safar, Ahmed bin Hussein and Wadha Al Roumi . The host for the night will be the talented journalist and media personality Bibi Al-Khudari. The show also features sound production by Rabih Al-Sidawi, set design by Briza Al-Roumi and Hammoud Al-Amiri, lighting by Abdullah Al-Nassar, costume design by Hessa Al-Abad and decoration by Muhammad Behbehani.

In a comment about the initiative, Mr. Naser Mohammed Al Qaisi, Chief Retail Banking Officer at Burgan Bank, said: “Kanz has been one of our most exciting product launches and we were delighted to see the great response from both existing and new customers. Therefore, for the announcement of our first Kanz millionaire, we had to go big and deliver something completely different.
